MiniFX uses a combination of clinically proven modalities of radiofrequency energy, deep tissue heating and a vacuum to reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite in small areas such as the neck, arms and knees. The radiofrequency energy distributes heat to the skin and underlying fat, which works together with a vacuum modality to decrease fat and tighten skin at the same time. The combination of these two modalities causes permanent fat cell death through a process called pyroptosis. The inflammatory response following cell death causes skin contraction, which results in a tighter skin appearance. Clinical studies have shown that the mechanism of action used in the Minifx machine have caused a mean reduction in fat thickness of 40% three months after a course of eight treatments done one week apart. Furthermore the studies show a 35% skin contraction one year post treatment.

How safe is the treatment?
It is FDA approved. To maximize comfort, the body’s temperature will be constantly monitored, and can be adjusted by the provider to maintain comfort while still obtaining the desired results.
Does it hurt?
Most users find it comfortable. During treatment you can expect to feel a warming of your skin and gentle pulling in the treatment area as the radiofrequency and vacuum work together to target stubborn pockets of fat.
How long is each session?
It depends on the area being treated. Usually sessions last approximately half a hour per area.
How many sessions are recommended?
Eight sessions done once a week have been shown in clinical studies to provide the best results. However, the minimum number of sessions is six sessions , once a week.
What are the sideeffects ?
Patients state that the treatment feels like a deep tissue massage. There is absolutely no downtime associated with Minifx treatments. You will notice redness and warmth in the treatment area which can last up to 48 hours. You can return to your regular activities immediately after treatment.
