How many treatments do you need?
Usually patients need 4-6 treatments for each area, with each treatment being done monthly.
How does the treatment feel?
Most patients say that they feel an intermittent tingling, pricking or pinching, warm sensation, followed by a period of cooling. Most patients find the treatment tolerable. We, the provider, can adjust the heat settings so the treatment is tolerable but still effective. We, as providers, can adjust your treatment settings to make the treatment tolerable for you.
What are the sideeffects of the treatment?
Redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness. Most commonly patients complain of redness and swelling. As your provider, we recommend the following to decrease your sideeffects post procedure : gently massage the treated area 1-2 times a day for several minutes and drink extra water. The purpose of doing so is to help your body drain the dead fat cells through the lymphatic system. Until tenderness and swelling have resolved, you can sleep on two pillows for elevation to relieve your discomfort, and use ice packs or tylenol to help as well. . There is no restriction or waiting period necessary to resume normal activities post procedure.You may resume your regular activities as soon as tolerated.
